Bas Kikkert brings over 28 years of global experience in energy, decarbonization and gas to liquids, including more than 16 years in GM & VP-level leadership positions at Shell. His career spans roles in strategy, operations, technology, and organizational development across the Netherlands, South Africa, and Qatar. Bas brings a track record in Technology RD&D and opportunity realization. He led the ramp-up of the Pearl Gas-to-Liquids plant in Qatar, and contributed to various strategic high-impact initiatives such as Shell’s first decarbonization strategy, and the CEO sponsored development of Shell’s Performance Framework. Bas has led global virtual teams across a wide range of cultures and managed organizations of 500+ people.

Bas holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology (with honours), completed executive education at INSEAD, and takes part in MITs Sustainability Program. He served on the advisory board of Peru LNG JV, and has represented Shell in numerous external partner & public engagements related to the Energy Transition, reflecting his commitment to sustainable innovation and collaborative leadership in the energy sector.
