Bio

Michel Molinier has 25 years of experience in the petrochemical industry and is currently the Americas Aromatics and Derivatives lead at S&P Global Commodity Insights. During his years at ExxonMobil Chemical Company, Michel primarily worked in basic chemicals, including aromatics, olefins and methanol. Michel successively managed catalyst supply for aromatics processes, technical support for aromatics and alkylation processes, licensing technical sales, new process commercialization, partnerships development and competitive intelligence. He also supported the aromatics base business strategy through industry dynamics, forecast and situation analysis studies. Michel has co-authored 2 book chapters, 35 articles and 28 US patents. Michel holds a M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Bordeaux (France), a Ph.D. in Solid State Chemistry from Philipps Universität Marburg (Germany) and a Certificate in Japanese Studies from the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom).
